About the teacher:
I am Arianna LaGon, a dedicated educator from Freedom Park Preschool. Mailing from Naples, Italy, I bring a rich heritage rooted in my family's restaurant business. Growing up in an environment where food was not only a staple but a passion, I developed a profound appreciation for Italian cuisine's quality and cultural significance. My commitment to food goes beyond mere taste; good and nourishing food is a fundamental right for everyone. This conviction drives me to emphasize the importance of food quality and nutrition in my teaching. I particularly focus on instilling these values in children. Early education about healthy eating habits can have a lasting impact. As an educator, I integrate my culinary background with my teaching, creating a holistic learning experience that covers the Italian language and the rich culinary traditions of Italy. I use food as a medium to engage students, fostering a deeper connection to the culture and promoting the idea that food is an essential aspect of well-being and community.
Nurturing Young Chefs
